A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of working in Newport Oregon. I had a pretty good time in this coastal town and wrote about it here and here. While I was there instead of staying at a hotel I had a great stay at a VRBO Condo right on the Yaquina River. You never know what you’re going to get when you rent on VRBO you’re hoping the pictures on the website actually match what you get, and in this case it really did. This place was just great, as you can see form the pictures below. The furniture, fixtures, appliances and all finishes looked brand new. It had the feel that it was put together by a designer. As I said it was right on the river and had a fabulous view of the ocean, Yaquina Bridge and was on the road to a State park. It was really quiet but super convenient to the city and about 500 yards from the Rogue Brewing Company. Can you say great beer.
The view of the river, bridge and ocean from the balcony and outside the condo
The condo was two stores with a bedroom and detached bathroom on the main level plus the garage and laundry facilities. Upstairs was the main living space (great room), kitchen and Master Bedroom with attached bathroom. This was the main living space and where you truly had the best views of the ocean and river.
The really great gourmet kitchen with all of the comforts of home
Small Dining area but perfect for a single traveler or small family, but there was a huge comfortable couch you could eat at
Working Gas Fireplace and decent cable selection
Hallway from first floor entrance to garage and upstairs living area and Master bedroom
I really enjoyed staying here and if I’m up this way again I would for sure stay here. In fact I would make a trip here with the family just to stay here. It was a great place and really was such a nice change of pace from staying at a hotel. I was actually able to buy food and make it at the condo instead of just eating out all the time. If you’re ever in the area or just wanted a nice place to take the family for a great vacation getaway check this place out.

***Full Disclosure my client owns the property and put me up here, I was not paid to write this post, I just had such a great time there and enjoyed the city I thought I’d write about it.***
