Mantas and sting rays and whale sharks oh my

For the past week we’ve been at the Conrad Maldives Resort, this hotel is not like any other I’ve stayed at before. It’s secluded on two islands about 45 minutes by seaplane from Male, the capital, in the middle of the Indian Ocean.

The hotel has done a great job of keeping the surrounds as natural as possible, so it’s not uncommon to see so much wildlife around the property. During morning strolls, or afternoon swims we’ve seen all of these wonderful creatures except for the Whale sharks, which I went on a snorkel trip to see. It was by far one of the most amazing things I’ve done in my life. They are such gentle creatures, I was amazed at their beauty and size. It will be a memory that I will never forget.

Being here makes me appreciate the world we live in and the breath of wildlife around us, and makes me thankful for the experiences that I’ve had an opportunity to enjoy.
